Designed and prototyped a corrugated jewelry storage box during my Research, Innovation & Design Co-op at Smurfit Westrock. The objective was to create a rigid, lightweight package capable of organizing jewelry using removable trays while maintaining manufacturability and efficient assembly.

Develop a corrugated package that:
Protected jewelry during storage
Included multiple removable trays
Maintained structural integrity
Could be manufactured from corrugated board using a single dieline where possible
Minimized material waste while remaining easy to assemble

Started with hand sketches to determine:
Overall dimensions
Shelf placement
Tray sizing
Internal organization
Assembly method
CAD Development
CAD Development
Created the structural design in ArtiosCAD, including:
Panel layout
Fold lines
Score lines
Locking tabs
Manufacturing tolerances
Internal supports

Cut and assembled physical prototypes to evaluate:
Structural strength
Tray fit
Folding sequence
Dimensional accuracy
Ease of assembly
During testing, dimensions were adjusted after identifying fit issues between the score lines and finished internal width.

Integrated shelves
Clean exterior appearance
Corrugated structural support
Fold-lock assembly without complex hardware
